Technical Support Engineer
Montreal, QCDo you like to solve problems? Learn new technologies? Work on a variety of platforms? If you answered ‘yes’ to at least 2 of these, a Technical Support Engineer position may be right for you! I promise this isn’t a glorified call center position. Yes, you have to talk to customers, but our customers include the operations centers at some of the world’s largest operators: you’ll never have to ask ‘is it powered on?’
You will be handling support issues for a variety of platforms, including Full Track music delivery, core network Ringback Tones, and user interfaces, amongst others. This role involves interacting with the customers to keep them informed of the progress on their ticket, figuring out solutions and workarounds to complex hardware and software issues, working in a lab environment to replicate issues, assist with some minor development and other operational work.
Many of our customer’s are overseas, and we provide them with 24/7 support. To accomplish this, we rotate through an on call schedule, and everyone ends up on call, one weekend a month. If you’re worried about this, let’s talk about it. It’s not as bad as you may think. If you’re open to travelling, you may be able to travel to a customer site for installations, training and on-site support.
In exchange for all this, you get all the coffee you can drink, a relaxed working atmosphere and a dedicated team the back you up and help you out. Obviously, we offer good benefits, including medical and dental as well as life insurance.
