Joel Hughes is responsible for the overall business strategy and operations of LiveWire Mobile. Joel is the former Senior Vice President and General Manager of NMS Communications’ Mobile Applications division. He joined NMS Communications early in 2006 when NMS Communications acquired Openera Technologies, an IMS handset applications provider, where he was President and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to Openera, Joel founded and was President and Chief Executive Officer of SnowShore Networks, a pioneering IP media server company acquired by Brooktrout in 2004. He holds a BSEE from the University of Rochester.
John Orlando is responsible for market and service strategy, marketing programs and corporate branding for LiveWire Mobile. He is the former Chief Marketing Officer of NMS Communications and, prior to that, head of product marketing for NMS Communications' breakthrough ringback service. John joined NMS Communications in 1997 through the acquisition of ViaDSP, where he worked on voice-over-IP gateways. John is currently Vice Chair of the Mobile Entertainment Forum Americas.
Mr. Penny is responsible for Sales and Business Development for LiveWire Mobile. He has over twenty years of sales and marketing experience in mobile and next-generation networks and applications. Mr Penney previously worked for Motorola where he was Vice President of Business Development responsible for new market development and partnerships, defining and executing their IPTV market entry strategy. Prior to that, he was instrumental in starting successful new businesses as a Founder and Vice President of Sales and Marketing, including SnowShore Networks, the first IP media server company, and ViaDSP, a pioneering VoIP company. Mr. Penny received his MBA training from Babson College, and holds an MSEE from Northeastern University and a BSEE from the University of Massachusetts.
David has more than 20 years of sales experience spanning across cutting-edge companies in the wireless, wire-line, VoIP, and computer telephony markets. Lowe's career has been focused on building and expanding the sales efforts for early-stage technology companies, through the development of highly-motivated, revenue-driven sales teams. He has held senior sales positions at vCENTRIX, Inc., Brooktrout Technologies (now Excel Switching), and Audiocodes.
Ms. Mavroides is responsible for operations of LiveWire Mobile managed service offerings as well as product delivery, deployment and technical support. Previously, she was responsible for Supply Chain and Technical Support Operations for NMS Communications. Ms. Mavroides joined NMS in 2001 as Director of Manufacturing Engineering, responsible for developing a new product introduction processes that enabled NMS Communications' transition from a technology provider to a system and solution provider. Previously, she worked at Digital Equipment Corporation in many aspects of component and systems process and product development. She has a chemical engineering degree from University of Lowell and an MBA from Northeastern University.
Michael has over twenty-five years of software development experience with the last twelve at an executive level. Prior to joining Livewire Mobile, Michael held executive engineering positions at Avaya, a global leader in IP telecommunications; Teloquent, a VC-backed firm that built distributed, mixed-media call center products; and PictureTel, a world leader in audio, video and data conferencing products. Michael has extensive experience building and running successful, globally-distributed and market-focused software development teams. These teams have delivered award winning real-time systems and large-scale J2EE servers for data, voice and video applications with web services presented in a broad range of UI technologies and devices.
